Everyone deals with pain at some point or another. It could be the pain of childbirth or the pain you get when you get a cavity in a tooth. Breaking a leg, suffering from cancer, having a headache … all are forms of pain. And of course, pain also clouds many other areas of your life such as creating sleeping difficulties, fatigue, depression, irritability, work problems and loss of physical and social pleasure.
Talking with your doctor is the best way to learn how you can control the pain you are experiencing. Medications can work as well as meditation and other activities to help you gain the upper hand and control your pain.

You don’t have to suffer that “old timer’s” disease of a faulty memory. Just because you are getting older, that doesn’t mean that your brain goes to atrophy. Just assume that your brain is like any muscle. You have to work it out in order for it to maintain its elasticity. You do not run out of brain cells. In fact, there are areas of the brain that produce new cells all the time. As you age, your style of learning and recall may differ but that doesn’t mean losing your keys or forgetting your shopping list is an indicator of Alzheimer’s disease.
There are a number of helpful hints to consider keeping your brain healthy and sharp as a tack. By employing them or enhancing what you are already doing, you can expect to hold your own and outwit those younger whippersnappers.

What happens when you are younger than 65 years of age (when you are eligible for Medicare) and lose your group health insurance? For a variety of reasons, many older people under the official retirement age lose their group health insurance and the reality of private individual health insurance is hundreds of dollars above what your budget allows. Growing old means your body goes through a variety of changes. It’s just a natural progression of life. Bones, joints, skin tissue, muscles, hormones and even changes at the cellular level all occur. It is up to you and partially your genetic history to make certain lifestyle choices which will allow you to retire and age gracefully.
